It has become public enemy number one. Banned within the administrations in the United States, Canada, Denmark and in several instances of the European Union, TikTok would be evil incarnate, according to critics. The Chinese mini-video app is allegedly stealing data from our phones, spying on us for Beijing, massively spreading misinformation, and knowingly dumbing us down. On all these points, is TikTok, published by the Chinese company ByteDance, really more harmful than Facebook? Let’s examine this.
