NHL: Vladislav Namestnikov traded from Sharks to Jets

Barely 48 hours following being traded by the Tampa Bay Lightning, Vladislav Namestnikov has been traded yet once more. Before even playing a game in a San Jose Sharks uniform, he was acquired by the Winnipeg Jets.

San Jose gets a 4th round pick in 2025.

On Wednesday, the Sharks had obtained the Russian once morest defenseman Mikey Eyssimont. In that first trade, Tampa Bay withheld 50% of Namestnikov’s salary. The Sharks won’t retain part of the salary remaining in the trade with Winnipeg, however.

This is the 4th time in his career that Namestnikov has been traded on trade deadline day, tying Alan May’s high.

This season, he has six goals and 15 points in 57 games. In 610 in the NHL, he totaled 113 goals and 251 points. Namestnikov also played for the New York Rangers, Ottawa Senators, Colorado Avalanche, Detroit Red Wings and Dallas Stars.
