New board members in companies are usually widely communicated and advertised. In Austria, however, it obviously depends on the gender of the new person. When it comes to a new woman on the board, press releases tend to attribute fewer skills to her than men. On the LinkedIn careers platform, on the other hand, the two genders are presented in roughly the same way as managers. Do Austria’s companies trust women in management less than men?
