Kvitfjell – This time Cornelia Hütter had luck on her side. The 30-year-old Styrian won the Super-G in Kvitfjell on Friday and secured the first win for the ÖSV women in the 30th race of the season. In the end it was a very close affair, as she finished in 1:26.83 minutes, just a hundredth of a second earlier than Italy’s Elena Curtoni. Lara Gut-Behrami from Switzerland was third (+0.12). The American Mikaela Shiffrin (+0.16) missed the podium in fourth just as narrowly as her 86th success in the World Cup, with which she would have drawn level with Sweden’s record holder Ingemar Stenmark.
