Maurice Lacroix – Pontos Chronograph 43mm – Style & Trend

A constantly evolving brand, Maurice Lacroix has revisited its Pontos collection, creating new versions of its Chronograph model. In addition to the original timepiece, the new Pontos Chronograph model features a series of small improvements designed to enrich the overall experience of its owner.

The Arabic numerals on the dial give the watch a more modern touch, allowing an even more immediate reading of the hours. The hour and minute hands are partially openworked and coated with white Super-LumiNova for better visibility in low light conditions – a luminescent treatment that is also found on the central chronograph seconds hand.

In designing this new Pontos chronograph, Maurice Lacroix’s design team sought to optimize the readability of the hours and reinforce the overall feeling of luxury. The flange houses an extremely clear minute track, while the dial features a sunburst motif that plays wonderfully with the light. The 12-hour chronograph counter, located at 6 o’clock, includes a date window on a color-matched disc to accentuate the impression of harmony and overall cohesion.

On the back of the watch, a sapphire crystal reveals the automatic caliber ML112. This movement is decorated with Côtes de Genève and a perlage finish, while the rotor is embellished with vertical Côtes de Genève and sunray brushing.

The watch comes with a 3-row bracelet in stainless steel or black leather. This second version bears the M logo, a detail that has become legendary underlining its refinement and authenticity. In line with the famous Aikon collection, the new Pontos Chronograph 43 mm is equipped with the Easy Strap Exchange system designed by the brand, which allows the strap to be easily changed without the need for special tools.
