“Dream job technology” inspired 2200 students

Workshops, campus tours and an insight into the world of technology: 2,200 students and their teachers were offered all of this from Monday to Wednesday at the Wels and Hagenberg universities of applied sciences.

The “Traumberuf Technik” trade fair is held every year together with Linz’s Kepler University. This year, the Wels University of Applied Sciences and the Hagenberg University of Applied Sciences presented the range of technical courses at Upper Austria’s universities.

New courses discovered

“Some workshops might have been even longer,” said a student from BRG Hamerlingstraße in Linz, who attended FH Hagenberg. Above all, the youngster liked the opportunity to try something out for himself. But attending the “Dream Job Technology” was not only exciting for the students: “You learn regarding courses that you didn’t know regarding yet,” said a teacher, impressed by the Wels campus. She had traveled with her class from Vöcklabruck on a bus organized by the FH.

The professors were given the opportunity to network at the teachers’ reception. As a partner of the Welser Campus, the Sparkasse Oberösterreich was also on site: “This year, the trade fair once once more provided an insight into the variety of technology with the aim of awakening enthusiasm for technical professions in schoolchildren. Because the country needs innovative, creative minds.” , said CEO Maximilian Pointner.
