MWC Barcelona 23: positive balance for the Cordovan companies that participated

More than 20 companies from the technology industry in Córdoba, together with the Government of Córdoba, participated with their own stand at the GSMA MWC Barcelona 23, which took place from February 27 to this Thursday.

It is one of the largest and most influential events for the connectivity ecosystem, where the main global firms, international governments and pioneering technology companies converge at MWC Barcelona to make decisions.

Said activity, as reported by the Government, not only allowed the Province to position itself globally in terms of technological development, but also favored local companies to generate links with potential clients, partners or suppliers; in pursuit of exploring new international markets.

Lieutenant Governor Manuel Calvo also participated in the meeting and assured that a “more than positive balance was observed for the government of Córdoba, but fundamentally for the Cordovan companies that feed the knowledge industry in our province every day.”

In this sense, the lieutenant governor highlighted the work that the government of the province of Córdoba has been doing in terms of technology, innovation and connectivity.

“This is what we have been working on in our province and we have the challenge of continuing to advance in significant connectivity, that is, that the digital transformation process that we are facing together with universities, clusters, companies and civil society reaches each of the productive processes, to give greater added value and thus generate more jobs and better opportunities for the inhabitants of the province,” he said.

During four days, the Province showed its potential in terms of technological development, which brings together a consolidated entrepreneurial ecosystem, local companies with an international presence, an outstanding contribution from universities and study centers, plus the accompaniment of the Government as a facilitator of relations.

The Minister of Science and Technology, Pablo De Chiara, also referred to the meeting in which he stressed that “not only technology is shown. Here more than 100,000 people from different parts of the planet attend, who meet in the same place to present their technological developments, share their innovations and expose their knowledge. It is an opportunity where the world’s future prospects are discussed and shown. That is why it is very important to participate in this event and above all with its own “brand”, with its own stand from the province, with the presence of Cordovan companies and local entrepreneurs”.

Pablo Garriga, Chief Marketing Officer of the Cordovan startup Mobbex and SUGA, which provides services and technological-financial infrastructure for payments and fintech technology, explained why this event was vital for his company. “It helped us a lot to be able to connect with companies in Spain, get to know other industries, tell what Córdoba does and show the potential we have in Córdoba. In addition, we create links with companies from our own city and from Argentina, because in this type of meeting a lot of collaboration and incredible synergy are generated that help us to continue growing”, highlighted Garriga.

Likewise, Enrique Dutra, managing partner of Punto Net Soluciones, a Córdoba consultancy that provides services in cybersecurity, web and mobile application development, infrastructure services, and process automation with RPA, highlighted the importance of the Mobile World Congress. “The idea of being at this event is to try to generate networking, bring knowledge and create ties to begin to relate to foreign companies and position ourselves in foreign companies,” Dutra pointed out.

Finally, Vanesa Garnica, representative of Extrados Software Technology, a Cordovan company dedicated to software development, also praised the experience. “Having come to the fair in Barcelona meant a great milestone for the company, because it allowed us to learn regarding new trends and, above all, the possibility of expanding into the Spanish market,” she pointed out.

The companies, which joined the call made by the Government of the Province through the ProCórdoba Agency, were: Qvix Solutions, Macena, Prominente, Threex Global, Ayigroup, Sytex, Dbaremoto, Extrados Software Technology, Jemersoft, Argalis, Fidelitytools , Eureka Labs, Full Audits, Punto Net Solutions, Texdinamo, COLSECOR Coop Ltda, Vectus, RiesgoOnline, Liricus, CIS Group.
