The Mapuche mayors of Chol Chol, Renaico, Curarrehue and Saavedra are in Israel on a visit to find solutions to problems of drought, security technology, education and vanguard.

In Israel, four members of the Association of Municipalities with the Mapuche Mayor of La Araucanía remain, seeking solutions to the serious problems of drought, security and education.

The communal chiefs came following an invitation to an institutional instance to seek resolutions to the mentioned problems.

The aforementioned delegation is made up of the mayors of Renaico, Juan Carlos Reinaopresident of the aforementioned association, in addition to the community leaders of Curarrehue, Abel Painefilonext to Luis Huirilef de Chol Chol y Juan Paillafil of Saavedra.

On their arrival in Israel, they were received by the Chilean ambassador to that country, Jorge Carvajalwho highlighted the visit and its objectives, anticipating that the Mapuche mayors will fulfill an intense work schedule.

for his part Gil ArtzyeliIsrael’s ambassador to Chile, specified through his Twitter account that the trip of the Mapuche mayors will strengthen the ties of cooperation and friendship between Israel and La Araucanía.

He added that the visit also symbolizes the fraternal encounter between two original peoples, “with a close spiritual relationship with their land”.

Due to the time difference, by tomorrow Friday it is expected to know in detail the agenda that the mayors are fulfilling in various Israeli cities.
