Sony has unveiled its new LED television lineup for 2023, titled Bravia XR. It includes a number of devices with iterative refinements and modest improvements.
While QD-OLED televisions gain more prominence in the market, the Japanese company is focused on image processing, bringing the brand’s Cognitive Processor XR, which promises to put its products ahead of competitors.

Another highlight is XR Clear Image, a feature that automatically adjusts image quality. With the popularity of next-gen consoles like the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, Sony has also sought to enhance the gaming experience.
All televisions in the Bravia XR lineup support gaming at 4K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, however only two HDMI 2.1 ports are available, with the others being HDMI 2.0. Integration with PlayStation 5 is tight, but the new software also promises to properly utilize the power of Xbox consoles.
The X90L model promises to offer top-notch performance at an affordable price. To give the TV premium detail, Sony has made improvements to the edges by switching the plastic to aluminum, allowing for a 30% increase in brightness. It has the largest screen in the line, with a 98-inch display.
The A80L OLED is 83 inches and brings improvements like 10% higher brightness, but it’s very similar to last year’s A80K WRGB OLED TV. The QD-OLED A95L is the most impressive TV in the family, promising 200% higher peak brightness than its predecessor, the A95K, being a strong competitor for LG’s C2 and C3.
In software, Sony has also introduced the Eco Dashboard. It can be accessed from the home screen and brings sustainable options for energy savings. In addition, there is a settings menu aimed at gamers, allowing you to activate VRR, motion blur reduction and contrast adjustments.
price and availability
Sony has not revealed the availability or the price of the products, but new information will be released soon.
