A company’s day-to-day is marked by challenges beyond its relationship with customers, business partners or regulatory bodies. A lot of people don’t know, but the employees themselves demand efficient management from the enterprise, and those who feel this pressure the most are the HR (Human Resources) team.
Therefore, eight out of ten (80%) companies use at least three different people management tools in their routines, according to a survey by the startup Flash. According to the survey, half of the 200 companies analyzed intend to exchange or acquire new tools and platforms that involve HR processes in order to unify tasks.
For Liliana Rocha, Sales & Customer Success Consultant at SISQUAL® WFM, in an increasingly digital era, tools such as employee portals play an essential role in company management. “Developed with the objective of totally eliminating the use of paper in the day-to-day of team managers, the portals have a vast number of functionalities in a completely web and application environment”.
In the view of the WFM consultant, mobile solutions materialize, today, an assertive solution for companies that have employees in hybrid or remote work, with advantages in all sectors of activity, from health to hospitality. According to a balance sheet by Ipea (Institute for Applied Economic Research), around 20.4 million professionals work in functions that can be performed at home – around 24.1% of the total Brazilian workforce.
“For companies, the use of such an app is essential for scheduling employee vacations, for example,” he says. She explains that, sometimes, the elaboration of the vacation plan is a “puzzle” for employers, involving the management of a lot of workload: of employees, managers, directors and, above all, the HR department.
“Taking into account the time spent on the subject, vacation plans usually end up being poorly prepared due to the lack of quick authorization and validation tools. WFM’s digital tools are an alternative to this difficulty,” she says. “Among other advantages, digitizing processes makes it possible to control orders and offers employees information and transparency in the analysis of their orders”, she adds.
WFM applications facilitate the daily lives of workers
For Liliana Rocha, the ease for any company employee to access a mobile workforce management app is a reality that has come to revolutionize the job market. “Thus, in a convenient way and without any time restriction, the employee can record attendance and attendance, request changes in schedules, justify absences, rectify time attendances – incorrect or forgotten -, consult their schedule and associated tasks, everything just a click away.”
The Sales & Customer Success Consultant from SISQUAL® WFM also points out that all orders placed on such a portal are registered, requiring approval – or non-approval -, but always with some justification. “In this way, employees feel more involved in the decision-making process, increasing adherence to plans”.
Tool facilitates access to information
Another positive point mentioned by Liliana Rocha is that the portal makes it possible for the employee to consult updated balances. “Think of the number of calls and emails that a company has already received from its employees to question the updated vacation balance”, she articulates.
The SISQUAL® WFM consultant explains that in a collaborator’s portal this information [saldo de férias] is always up to date and available for consultation. “If you want to reduce bureaucracy in processes and give your employees a better quality of life, WFM applications are an essential tool”, he says.
