Vladimir Tarasenko extended the Philadelphia Flyers’ torment with the winning goal in overtime to give the New York Rangers a 3-2 win on Wednesday.
Tarasenko took advantage of the space offered in overtime to enter the enemy zone without difficulty before shooting wrists at the level of the face-off circle to deceive the vigilance of Carter Hart on his right at 2:32.
The Russian striker benefited from the complicity of his two teammates on the ice Filip Chytil and Braden Schneider for his 13th of the season.

Chris Kreider tied it 2-2 midway through the third period for his 26th of the season when he deflected a Tarasenko shot past Flyers goaltender Carter Hart.
It was also the 255th in career goals for Kreider, who comes within one goal of Quebecer Camille Henry for sixth in Rangers history.
Four unanswerable goals from the Stars
The Dallas Stars rallied from a two-goal deficit and scored four unanswered goals to defeat the Arizona Coyotes 4-2.
Miro Heiskanen’s goal at 4:38 of the third period was the game-winning goal for the Stars on assists from Colin Miller and Tyler Seguin.
Former Montreal Canadiens Evgenii Dadonov picked up his second point since joining the Stars by colluding on Seguin’s 16th of the season on the power play. This goal in the second period tied the game at 2-2.
Seguin was a blow to the Coyotes by finding the back of the net a second time in the bottom-of-the-third game when shorthanded to give the Stars a two-goal lead.
Roope Hintz has the other in the win, his 26th of the season.
Jason Robertson of the Stars is just one point away from the 200 career point mark with an assist.
In the loss, the retort came from Clayton Keller, who reached the plateau of 25 goals, and Barrett Hayton, who reached ten.
Nick Schmaltz of the Coyotes was unable to hit the target for the fifth straight game.

Tom Wilson scored twice, including in overtime, to give the Washington Capitals a 3-2 win over the Anaheim Ducks.
In addition to scoring two goals in a game for the first time since Feb. 28, 2022, Wilson also threw down the gloves once morest former Canadiens Nathan Beaulieu in the game.
In overtime, Wilson took advantage of a pass from TJ Oshie to redirect the puck, which escaped goaltender John Gibson.

John Klingberg and Dmitry Kulikov weren’t on the Ducks roster for “trade-related” reasons.
Capitals defenseman Nick Jensen did not return to the game following suffering an upper-body injury in the first period.
Darcy Kuemper stopped 21 of 23 shots in the win, while his counterpart Gibson allowed three goals on 39 shots. Gibson has made at least 30 saves in each of his last 10 games.
The Ducks host the Canadiens on Friday night for their next game, while the Capitals meet the Sharks on Saturday night.
