The NHL club exchanged the Russian Olympic champion
Defender Vladislav Gavrikov moved from Columbus to Los Angeles. In return, the Blue Jackets received two-time Stanley Cup winner goaltender Jonathan Quick.

The Columbus Blue Jackets have traded Russian defenseman Vladislav Gavrikov to the Los Angeles Kings. reported on the NHL website.
Goalie Joonas Korpisalo will go to the Kings with the Russian. In return, Columbus received Jonathan Quick, as well as a first-round pick in the 2023 draft and a third-round pick in the 2024 draft.
Columbus has been in talks to trade Gavrikov since mid-February, causing the 27-year-old to miss the last eight games of the regular season. In total this season he played 52 games and scored 10 (3 + 7) points.

Gavrikov was selected by Columbus in the sixth round of the 2015 NHL Entry Draft. As part of the Russian national team, the defender became the Olympic champion of Pyeongchang. He also has two bronze medals at the world championships.
Quick, 37, has spent his entire NHL career with Los Angeles. He has two victories in the Stanley Cup (2012, 2014), in 2012 he received the award as the most valuable player in the playoffs. This season, he played 31 games, scored 11 wins, conceding an average of 3.5 goals and reflecting 87.6% of shots.
