who accompanies the Apple a reasonable amount of time ago surely you remember the time when the company only launched iPhones with two color options: black and white (and their respective variations, of course).
If at that time we didn’t have many options to choose from, today we enjoy the most varied tones — especially among entry-level models. From the flashy red — (PRODUCT)RED — of the iPhones 14/14 Plus to the charming deep purple of the iPhones 14 Pro/14 Pro Max, there are several colors that promise to please both the most reserved users and those who like something more fun.
But do people really take advantage of this greater range of options? Well, that’s exactly what the latest research from the Consumer Intelligence Research Partners (CIRP) tried to answer. The firm interviewed a number of consumers over the holiday season to find out what are the most popular colors among smartphones sold by Apple today.
If, in previous years, owners of “Pro” iPhones decided to follow a more traditional path, this time, 42% of people who bought an iPhone 14 Pro or a 14 Pro Max chose the color deep Purplewhile 24% went by color Golden. In other words, ⅔ of consumers decided to choose more colorful smartphones over something more traditional this time around.
When considering the iPhone 14 and 14 Plus, 27% of consumers chose the color azul (the most advertised by Apple, by the way); 22% were in color purple and 14% in the (PRODUCT)RED version. Once once more, the colored options accounted for more than half of the iPhones sold by Apple in recent months.
Things get much more intense when we go to the iPhones 13 and 13 mini. According to CIRP data, 23% chose the color rosa; 23%, a cor azul; and 5%, the color (PRODUCT)RED. The models stellar e midnight they kept the other half of the devices sold.
The tables are turned for good when we move on to the third-generation iPhone SE and iPhone 12. According to the survey, 62% of people who bought the first model, which only has three colors — midnight, stellar and (PRODUCT) RED — decided to go with something more discreet, while 56% of people who bought an iPhone 12 chose the model for that.
And you, which color did you go with for your iPhone?
