Nogent-le-Roi. Premier salon Retro Toys. Old game consoles from the 80s and 90s, arcade terminals… Vintage toys will have their show in Nogent-Le-Roi for the first time on Sunday 19 March. The associations of the festival committee worked hand in hand with the association Rétro Brothers d’Umpeau and the municipality to organize this “Rétro Toys” day in the castle farm.
From Marvel to Pokemon to Knights of the Zodiac
“We will have a dozen exhibitors, in the room but also outside. The “90’s Village” will offer entertainment, under a barnum outside, with old consoles on televisions, Arcade terminals and many products from the 90s”, specify Fabrice Cadoudal from the festival committee, and Romain Modrzejewski from Retro Brothers.
Designers who gravitate around the world of video games will also be present. There will also be a badge designer, a seller of Marvel figurines (statuettes of heroes) and numerous exhibitors of vintage toys derived from cartoons and cinema. Without forgetting the Pokemon mode (franchise created in 1996 in a game by Nintendo).
The author Benjamin Millon will also be present with his book project, a titanic work of passion, of which he will present the first version: a tool book which will present 23 universes ranging from Aliens to Jurassic Park via Saint Seiya (Knights of the Zodiac), Macross (Japanese series and other lesser-known creations. More than 300 pages and 1,100 photos. This show might “attract between 700 and 1,000 vintage game enthusiasts,” the organizers hope.
