Microsoft reportedly released the Windows 11 22H2 Moment 2 update in March. But to our surprise, the software giant released the long-awaited Windows update a day before the start of March. Microsoft announced in its official blog post that the “February 2023 Update” is now available through Windows Update in the Settings app.
Microsoft refers to the Moment 2 update as the “February 2023 Update,” which isn’t surprising since “Moment” is a codename the company uses internally to mark feature drops that Microsoft is using. she publishes throughout the year.
The latest February update is only available for PCs running Windows 11 22H2. It comes with many new features or changes. Notable ones include the new AI-powered Bing in taskbar search experience, tablet-optimized taskbar, snipping tool with screenshot capability, tabbed interface in Notepad, energy recommendations setting, etc.
After installing the Windows 11 Moment 2 update, you will also be able to download the Microsoft 365 app from the Microsoft Store. “With the Windows 365 app, you can move from your desktop directly to your Cloud PC, which gives you a personalized experience tailored to your settings, profile, and work style,” Microsoft wrote in its official blog post.
If you are running Windows 11 22H2 in a professional environment, the February 2023 Update also brings you new features. If you’re running Windows 11 Pro and the PC is joined to Azure Active Directory (AAD), you’ll see “Recommended AI-powered content in your Start menu” following installing the Moment 2 update. It is important to note that the full availability of the features mentioned above will be delivered in March via Windows Update.
If you’re using Windows 11 22H2, you can open the Settings app by tapping the Touche Win + I on your keyboard, then navigate to Windows Update > Check for updates. You must restart your PC to complete the installation.
