Huawei this week released a new firmware update for its Watch GT 3 line of watches, which has just received the HarmonyOS 3 operating system with bug fixes, performance improvements and new features in the health section with the insertion of new modes of reading of various body indicators of the user, such as breathing, for example.
According to information from the developer, this software arrives for the Chinese variant of the Watch 3 GT and Watch GT 3 Pro, models eligible for this stable update released a few hours ago. The patch arrives for everyone via OTA with version number 3.0.0.73 and size of just 89.19 MB, according to the Huawei Central portal.
As stated in the changelog, the new firmware carries a series of novelties related to the layout of the smartwatch interface, including more watchface options that can be applied as the background and features for personalizing the navigation, allowing the adjustment of shortcuts considering the profile of use.
Huawei has also reorganized some smartwatch menu options by taking the flashlight and lock buttons to the shortcut space. In addition, in the settings there is also a new option related to Bluetooth connectivity to adjust this setting even without the smartphone nearby.
There are no reports of bugs or issues as a result of this recent update, so you can safely download the new firmware on your Chinese branded watch. For now, there is still no prediction of when other countries besides China will be contemplated with this update, but it is expected to happen in the coming weeks.
