EnvA and ANSES have been building structural scientific partnerships for 25 years in terms of research and development in animal infectiology, at their joint sites in Maisons-Alfort and Goustranville in Normandy. The framework agreement signed today for five years testifies to their desire to formalize their historic collaboration on infectious animal diseases.
Within the framework of this partnership, the two organizations will pursue numerous joint scientific projects in the detection and epidemiology of emerging diseases, whether viral, parasitic or bacterial. These projects will in particular make it possible to better understand host-pathogen interactions, to improve knowledge of the mechanisms of transmission between animal species and with humans, as well as to explore possibilities for the development of vaccines or antiviral therapies. It also aims to strengthen their research work in animal health within the framework of the major area of interest One Health (DIM 1Health), in which the two organizations are involved.
Finally, this partnership provides shared access to various technological resources, such as biomedical research platforms on animal species, such as ticks and rodents, and level 3 containment structures.
Through this agreement, the two organizations are committed to scientific advances on infectious animal diseases in the service of health security according to the One Health approach, one health for all.
