Nevada vs Wyoming – predictions and odds for Monday, February 27 (Back the Wolf Pack)

The Mountain West tournament is just around the corner and the Nevada Wolf Pack are looking to move up to the No. 2 seed, despite having already earned a first-round bye. Nevada is 22-7, 12-4 in conference play. Last year, the Mountain West had four teams in the grand ball, including Wyoming. Although Hunter Maldonado is back with the Cowboys, the latter are in the bottom of the conference. Wyoming is 8-20 (3-13), but has yet to face Nevada.

Let’s see the odds for this Mountain West game in the last week of the regular season.

Nevada vs Wyoming – prediction and player picks

Despite their terrible record, Wyoming hasn’t been bad at home, they are 6-8 at Laramie. But that might be the end of the good news. The Cowboys are 241st in points per game and 236th in points allowed, their second-leading scorer, Noah Reynolds, is out for the year, and they’re 166th in KenPom. On the other side, Nevada is 33rd in the KenPom, has all of its leading scorers and has won six of its last seven games.

The last time Wyoming played, Maldonado had 23 points, six rebounds and five assists, but they still lost by 13 points to Colorado State. They are 2-5 ATS in their last seven games and 9-17-1 ATS on the season. Meanwhile, Nevada is 18-8-2 ATS and has covered five of its last six games once morest teams with sub-.400 winning percentages. These tendencies are just overwhelming, so I have to take the Wolf Pack to win and cover even as a road favorite in a conference game.
