February 27th, HK01 reported that Hong Kong police arrested one more woman in connection with the case of kidnapping, murder and dismembering model Abby Choi (Thai Thien Phuong). The 47-year-old suspect is the mistress of the victim’s father-in-law. After the case happened, the woman harbored Abby Choi’s ex-father-in-law.
The arrest took place on the followingnoon of February 26, in Tsim Sha Tsui (Hong Kong). This woman is accused of aiding criminals, suspected of being involved in the murder case and is being held in custody to serve the investigation.

Chung Nha Luan – Director of the West Kowloon Criminal Department – said that many arrested subjects did not cooperate, making the police unable to rely on testimony to solve the case. In the past time, the investigative team almost relied on the analysis of evidence, intelligence and information gathering to bring the case to light.
According to Mr. Chung, in the latest forensic examination results, Abby Choi died from a fatal wound hit by a hard object in the head. In addition to the skull that was removed from the large soup pot, police also found a large amount of bones, hair and human tissue in a small pot seized at the scene of Abby Choi’s murder.
Currently, authorities continue to search for the victim’s missing body pieces including the torso and arms. On the night of February 26, the police sealed off the scene, opened the manhole of the house to find the victim’s body to search for the remains.
Abby Choi went missing on February 21 while on her way to pick up her children from school. On February 22, the police issued a notice to find missing people throughout the special zone. On February 24, the incomplete body of model Abby Choi was found by police in Tai Po, Hong Kong.

On the same day, the police arrested Abby Choi’s parents and ex-brother in law. On the followingnoon of February 25, Abby Choi’s ex-husband, Alex Kwong, was also arrested following trying to evade the arrest warrant and resist the police.
Currently, Abby Choi’s ex-husband’s father and brother-in-law are temporarily charged with murder by the Hong Kong police. The ex-mother-in-law was charged with obstruction of justice, giving false statements. Alex Kwong is hospitalized for health problems, has not finished the examination process, so he is temporarily not charged. The case was brought to trial at the Cuu Long City Court of First Instance on the morning of February 27.
