Kochi: The electric version of Hyundai Creta, which created a huge wave in the Indian SUV market, will be launched by 2025. Hyundai aims to start production in 2024.
At present, Tata Motors holds regarding 80 percent of the e-car market in India. It is led by Tata Nexon EV. Hyundai may introduce the e-version of the mid-size SUV Creta at the 2025 Auto Expo.
The Creta EV, codenamed SU2i EV, is manufactured at Hyundai’s Chennai plant. It is indicated that the e-Creta will not have much difference in exterior with the current Creta. The company also plans to manufacture in India and export abroad.
