Flights to Luxembourg: Fifteen burglaries in a few hours
LUXEMBOURG – The Grand Ducal police are calling for vigilance following several homes were “visited” this weekend.
In all, around fifteen burglaries were reported to the Grand Ducal police between Friday evening and Sunday morning. Most were committed in residential areas, such as Rumelange where the burglar left traces of blood following being injured. In Differdange, Dudelange, Belair and Strassen, thefts were also committed.
A bar on the road from Longwy to Rodange was also robbed. Shortly following 2 a.m., the owner, alerted by the surveillance system, noticed that three individuals had broken down the back door of his establishment. The men then fled to France following breaking slot machines. They left behind a backpack and a crowbar.
The police are calling on residents of the neighborhoods concerned to approach a police station if they can testify to suspicious people who have been traveling near the burglarized homes. It also invites everyone to follow simple tips in order to avoid such disappointment and recalled the existence of the prevention service “Holiday departure”.
