Amadou Mame Diop invites APS activists to remobilize

Richard-Toll, Feb 26 (APS) – The mayor of Richard-Toll, Amadou Mame Diop, has invited activists from the Alliance for the Republic (APR) to remobilize in view of the upcoming elections for which he is asking them to wait for the recommendations of their leader President Macky Sall.

Mr. Diop, also President of the National Assembly, took part in the Richard-Toll party hall in a political meeting devoted to the launch of the sale of RPA cards in the presence of officials from the Benno Bokk Yaakar coalition of the department from Dagana.

“A militant must be disciplined and respectful of the directives given by his leaders,” he said, stressing the need to continue to respect religious authorities and advocate peace.

He pleaded for the achievement of the objectives assigned to the municipality of Richard-Toll by the purchase of its quota of 7000 cards before the start of Ramadan within two weeks.
For the department of Dagana, the quota is 31,986 cards.

One of the supervisors, Cheikh Cissé, recalled the “long companionship” of the President of the National Assembly with President Macky Sall. The proof, according to him, Amadou Mame Diop was present at the signing ceremony of the book + A fight for the Republic + in 2011 which he had dedicated to Macky Sall “at a time when few people dared to frequent him”. He said the card gives the activist pride and identity.

The event was held in the presence of Commissioner Diéne Farba Sarr.
