Kannur: EP takes a different stand on the High Court’s ruling that active political activists should not be in the Devaswom Board’s governing committee. Jayarajan. He said that the High Court verdict should be reconsidered. EP said that when the temples grow, the country will become prosperous. Jayarajan said.

Temples are centers of generosity, great philanthropy and faith. All of them should become holy places, should emerge as the best institutions, should be enriched with wealth. Jayarajan said that when all the temples grow, the country in general will become prosperous and that is natural.

The High Court had ordered that active political party workers should not be appointed as non-traditional trustees of temples under the Malabar Devaswom Board. State Secretary MV Govindan had said the other day that this court verdict is welcome and CPM’s position is the same. Today there is a contrary statement from EP Jayarajan.
