This is the largest orchid show in New York and the most shared on Instagram

NY. In it New York’s Greatest Orchid Show, not only can you see thousands of these flowers, you can also listen to music, dance and sing or have a wine, if you wish.

This month and through April 23, the New York Botanical Garden presents The Orchid Show: Natural Heritage, a true floral spectacle with some 6,500 orchids of different kindscolors, sizes.

This year the orchid show was created by landscape designer Lily Kwong, who was inspired by her Asian roots to create a paradisiacal environment in the 55,000 square foot Enid A. Haupt Conservatory, Botanical Garden.

An orchid show with an Asian flair

Inspired by classical Chinese mountain landscape paintings, Kwong uses an extraordinary variety of orchids, including rare and exotic specimens, to envelop visitors in awe-inspiring mountain landscapes that blend ecology, culture, and fantasy.

“The landscape designer assembled thousands of orchids to create a dynamic display that is not only visually dramatic and striking, but emotionally evocative”said the New York Botanical Garden describing the orchid show.

On Saturday nights, the New York Botanical Garden’s orchid show takes on a new dimension with Orchid Nights, featuring live music and wine tasting, making the experience the perfect nighttime getaway.

Whatever the time, the orchid show is one of the most anticipated shows of the year for nature lovers. And, in general, a different opportunity for entertainment and reflection.

The most “instagrammable show in NYC”

Also good photos. Hence, Travel & Leisure magazine, cataloged the show “the most instagrammable of the year”, due to the number of photos that were shared of it on Instagram in 2022.

Tickets to the New York Botanical Garden Orchid Show are $15 for students, $31 for students and seniors, $35 generally. And, for Orchid Nights (Saturday nights only) $39.
