Usually, these objects are so far and dim that they cannot be noticed, but the magnifying power of the gravitational lens expands Hubble’s view deeper into the universe, NASA said.

This observation is part of an ongoing project to fill in the short gaps in the Hubble observational schedule by systematically exploring the most massive galaxy clusters in the distant universe, hoping to identify promising targets for further study with Hubble, NASA, the European Space Agency and the Canadian Space Agency James.
