One of the most complex procedures is the correction of spinal deviation. “The surgery is called 360 degree scoliosis. The entire spine is grasped and completely straightened. Of course, the process is subject to tests that determine the viability of the treatment,” explained the director of the clinic and specified that since these are highly complex surgeries, with the possibility of risk up to a year following the operation, all Candidates must be referred by insurers. “Not all patients are suitable for surgery, therefore, they must first go through a filter and must be reviewed by a specialist.”, he clarified.
According to the report Global Burden of Disease (GBD), conducted by the World Bank in 2019, approximately 1.71 billion people worldwide live with musculoskeletal conditions that affect joints, bones, muscles, and multiple areas or systems of the body. That same study showed that low back pain is the main symptom in patients suffering from any of these ailments.
On the other hand, the changes, remodeling and restructuring have allowed the clinic, in terms of sustainability, to become established. In addition, it has the plus of being in the central area of the city, which easily welcomes users from all sectors of Bogotá and La Sabana.
