Poultry Division: Chicken prices have decreased by 20 pounds, and a kilo for consumers is 75 pounds

Sameh Al-Sayed announced Poultry Division in the Chamber of Commerce In Giza, chicken prices fell to consumers from 95 pounds per kilo to 75 pounds per kilo in today’s trading, Saturday, with a drop value of 20 pounds in less than 24 hours, indicating that the kilo of farm land delivery decreased 10 pounds from 80 to 70 pounds.

Sameh Al-Sayed added, in statements to “The Seventh Day”, that the markets responded to pumping more supply in the past hours, following providing 100,000 tons of Brazilian poultry, which contributed to the decline in prices, expecting a further decline with the return of the full production cycle in the Egyptian market.

Head revealed Poultry divisionThe price of chicks also decreased from levels of 30 pounds to 19 pounds for the white chick, and 17 pounds for the sasso chick in farms, and the price of the hybrid chick decreased to 8 pounds, as well as 8 pounds for the municipal chick.

He pointed out that the rates of decline in prices exceeded 20%, as expected by the poultry division in the Giza Chamber of Commerce more than 10 days ago, pointing out that the abundance of supply contributes to controlling prices with the approaching month of Ramadan and the high demand.

Sameh Al-Sayed, head of the Poultry Division at the Chamber of Commerce, announced that 100,000 tons of frozen poultry were put on the market, imported from Brazil, and are less than their counterparts in the market by more than 30%, indicating that these quantities are offered at the outlets of government agencies, including those of the Ministry of Supply..

He added, in statements to “The Seventh Day”, that the offered weights of frozen poultry start from a kilo and reach 1.5 kilos, within the framework of government policies that aim to control the price movement of chicken following its recent price hike, so that a kilo is traded above 95 pounds for the consumer..
