While iQOO India CEO Nipun Marya teased the launch of the Z7 on Twitter, we now have a firm launch timeline thanks to a leak report from 91 Indian Mobiles. According to the report, which cites industry sources, the iQOO Z7 5G will be launched in India sometime in March. The company is currently only considering launching one Z7 model, though the Z7 Pro and Z7 Lite might be announced in the coming months.
iQOO Z7 5G India Launched
The design of the device was teased on Twitter by iQOO India CEO Nipun Marya. The device shown in the image is hinted to look like the Vivo T1x, which debuted in India last year. On the back, it will have a vertical camera module that says “Photography High Definition,” as well as a dual-LED flash. The iQOO logo will be present in the bottom center.
The teaser also confirms that the smartphone will have a dual camera on the back, with a 50MP main sensor that supports optical image stabilization (OIS) and a secondary camera. The upcoming product appears in teal, and we can expect more options when it launches.
The remaining specifications of iQOO Z7 have not been announced yet. However, a previous report indicated that the iQOO Z7 series will include a standard Z7 5G and Z7 Pro 5G with model numbers I2207 and I2213 respectively. While the information on the iQOO Z7 5G is still confidential, let’s take a look at what the iQOO Z6 has offered to its users.
iQOO Z6 specifications
The iQOO Z6 comes with a 6.58-inch IPS LCD panel with Full HD+ resolution, a waterdrop notch on top, and a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone comes powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC which is paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
On the back of the Z6, there is a triple camera setup with a 50MP main camera and two 2MP sensors for depth sensing and macro. For taking selfies and making video calls, the phone has a 16MP front camera. The iQOO Z6 5G runs Android 12 out of the box with a layer of Funtouch OS 12 on top, and packs a 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging.
