Urban unemployment in Kerala has dropped; The national rate is 7.2%; 8.9% in Kerala

New Delhi ∙ The unemployment rate in urban areas of Kerala has come down to 8.9 percent. This is the figure for October-December period. In the previous two quarters, the rate was 12.5 percent.

In these places, male unemployment is 7.1% and female unemployment is 12.8%. It was 10.2% and 17.4% respectively during July-September period.
