What are we playing? Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe on Nintendo Switch

What does Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe promise?

In this remastered Deluxe version of Kirby’s Adventure Wii, you can not only go on a 2D adventure with the adorable little pink ball but, for the first time, up to four players can travel through Dream Land to help Magolor fix his crashed spaceship. In addition to the adventure, the game offers mini-games which can also be played alone or with up to four players.

Is it worth it ?

In recent years, there is plenty to get lost with the proliferation of Kirby games. This time, it is therefore a remaster of the game released on Wii in 2016 which lands on Switch. We find a very good 2D platform game in a cute and colorful universe. The challenge is certainly not very high for experienced players, but the fun and the pleasure of the game are there. This Kirby also has the merit of being accessible to everyone, especially the youngest who can, if necessary, count on the “Magalor assistant” option to have more life and not fall into the holes.

Playable alone or with others in cooperation, the adventure mode is rather classic. The good surprise is on the Magoland Park side. This game mode brings together 10 mini-games that have nothing to envy to the best Mario Party events. And whether in the adventure mode or in the mini-games, Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe is playable alone or with friends. Just grab a Joy-Con controller and up to three other players can join the game.

And if you still have a little doubt before paying €59.99 for a remaster, a demo is available for free on Nintendo eShop.
