The Academy of two-time Olympic champion Evgeni Plushenko “Angels Plushenko” filed a complaint with the ethics commission of the Russian Figure Skating Federation (FFKKR) once morest coach Sofya Fedchenko for her statements regarding the figure skater. About it informed “Sport Express”.
According to the publication, Plushenko’s side asked the commission to evaluate two episodes: “public discussion and public assessment of the athlete Sofya Titova” and “public insult of coach Plushenko.”

Chairman of the Ethics Commission Irina Raber said “RIA Novosti”that the academy’s complaint will be considered following March 8. “I think that the complaint of the Angela Plushenko Academy to Sofia Fedchenko will be discussed following March 8, because there will be a Grand Prix final, plus everyone is on the road. We need to get together, analyze the document, ”said Raber.
Alina Gorbacheva won the Russian junior championship held in Perm on February 16, ahead of Plushenko’s student Veronika Zhilina by 5.62 points. Another figure skater from the Plushenko Academy, Sofya Titova, finished fourth.
Plushenko criticized the refereeing at the tournament, noting that his athletes ranked lower with a set of higher difficulty jumps. In reply to Fedchenko stated newspaper “Life” that Plushenko’s words regarding Russian judges are hysteria and an inability to admit coaching mistakes.
On February 19, the Plushenko Academy published on Instagram stories (owned by Meta Platforms, the Tverskoy Court of Moscow recognized the company as extremist and banned its activities in Russia) a screenshot with Fedchenko’s profile on the profi.ru website, where it was indicated that the coach was studying in the third year of the Institute of Sports and Physical education. Also, in the column “regarding itself”, the academy inserted its own words: “Princess, not … Queen”, adding an emoji with a crown on his head to the photo of Fedchenko. The post was subsequently removed.
Fedchenko said that she was not offended by the insulting post posted on the social network by the Angela Plushenko Academy. “That doesn’t bother me. Moreover, the information on his picture regarding me is unreliable. I have two completed higher educations. One with a red diploma, ”said Fedchenko.
The federation last year published a code of ethics, which prescribes to avoid public judgments in an incorrect and rude form regarding the results of the competition and the decisions of the judges.
