Actress Rajisha Vijayan says that all the actresses of the older generation have acted as wives and mothers at a young age, but those of this generation cannot do that. The actor said that even if he was not old, the older generation would have felt mature, but that is not the case today.
Rajisha said these things when the host asked if actress Anigha Surendran was interested in acting as a 27-year-old. In an interview to Milestone Makers, Rajisha said that if Anigha plays a 27-year-old, people will not believe her.
‘All the actresses of that time acted as wives and so on at a young age. Be it Urvashi Ma’am or Shobhana Ma’am or other actresses who came at that stage, they acted as a wife and a mother at the age of fifteen or sixteen.
But if we look at our generation as a whole, physical maturity is very slow. But our parents’ generation is not like that. Now if you see people in their thirties you will say they are 20 years old and if you see people in their 20s you will say they are teenagers.
There is a lot of difference in looks between the old generation and this generation. If they had done similar characters in 8th grade it was because they might pull off the character with looks.
I think a kid like Anigha can’t act like a 27 year old. If we see it, we should feel it. It’s okay to be someone who looks older than they actually are. Looking at her looks, I don’t think Anigha can do such a role,’ said Rajisha Vijayan.
