As we know, one of the novelties of the iPhones 14 it was the Emergency SOS via satellitemade possible by a partnership with Globalstar. This is the proposal of Defy Satellite Linkyes Motorola, a device similar to a larger keychain that supports satellite connection. It features a MediaTek MT6825 chip, which allows connectivity to occur, and is the result of a partnership with the company Bullitt Group.
The device connects to iOS or Android smartphones via Bluetooth, through the application Bullitt Satellite Messenger, which is not yet available. With it, you can send and receive messages, send your location to someone or contact emergency services, even without mobile network signal.
The Defy Satellite Link has a rigid design, in black, with a weight of 70 grams and 11 millimeters thick. The gadget also has IP68 certification for resistance once morest water and dust, in addition to following the MIL-Spec 810H hardness standard. There is also a carabiner, which allows you to attach the device to bags or other surfaces.
The device costs US$100 and will be available in April. You need to subscribe to the app to access the features, which will cost US$5/month, and be running iOS 14 or Android 10 (or newer versions) to use the app.
