Doha: A foreigner who came to Qatar with a large collection of drug pills was arrested at the Doha Hamad International Airport. He brought 7000 larika tablets from abroad. At the airport, the customs officials got suspicious and opened the bag and found a huge collection of banned pills.
The customs officials informed that the drug pills were seized immediately and legal action was taken once morest the person who brought them. The seized items were later handed over to the officials of the concerned departments. Recently, the Customs also seized the intoxicating substances that were trying to smuggle through the Abu Samra port in Qatar. Various types of intoxicants were tried to be smuggled by hiding them inside the parts of the cars.
Qatar Customs announced through social media that it is reminding the people that they are constantly warned not to bring prohibited items into the country. Customs said that they have all modern systems and expertly trained personnel to prevent such smuggling attempts. According to the warning, officials will be able to detect even the most sophisticated methods adopted for illegal activities and identify smugglers even from the body language of passengers.
