Homestead does not mean columbia and nobility; Harish Peradi’s reply to ADGP Sreejith

ADGP Sreejith’s Taravad remark is being heavily criticized. It was said that the Ashari, Ezhavan and Muslim were copying the methods of Nayans, the dominant community in Kerala.

His remarks were made on July 3, 2022 when he participated in the Aspirantia’ 22 program organized by the Kozhikode Civil Service Academy. Actor Harish Peradi has come up with an answer to this.

Harish Peradi says that Taravad means maternal house and it is not a house with blood of maternal blood but eight knots, four knots, pool, kindi, kolambi, madambithar and wide paddy field.

Harish Peradi’s Facebook post

Tharavad=Talla Veedu..a house with the lineage of Thalla’s blood…other than Ettukettu, Nalukettu, Kula, Kindi, Kolambi, Madambithar, and not a wide field..so whether you are born in a grass hut or Olapura, everyone has a Tharavad. Another truth is that in modern times, everyone’s homes are hospitals
