New specialists graduate in Zacatecas

Zacatecas, Zac.-By attending the closing ceremony 2020-2023 of the Medical Specialties Courses of Family Medicine, Medical Surgical Emergencies and Anesthesiology for the Rural Health Services of the Mexican Institute of Social Security and beginning of the 2023-2024 cycle, The coordinator of the Health Sciences area, Juan Armando Flores de la Torre, stated that it is a day of joy for the institution to see that a cycle plus an army of people who are going to provide health to the population culminate.

In the presence of the head of the IMSS Medical Services, Leticia Monreal Ávila, the head of Postgraduate Studies of the Academic Unit of Human Medicine and Health Sciences of the UAZ, Fabiola de la Rosa Oliva and the 54 new specialists , stressed that for UAZ it is a great responsibility to grant the endorsement for these specialties, in addition to trusting the IMSS, one of the most solid institutions in the country to train specialists.

He invited them to continue supporting the training of specialists in these areas, in whom the trust is placed to leave our lives in their hands.

Health and educational institutions are doing what we have to do to train people, and thus contribute to the education of society, to attend to the social fabric that is breaking down.”

Finally, the university official congratulated both the graduates and their families, and the 170 doctors who are entering to study a specialty in Pediatrics, Gynecology, Occupational Medicine, Family Medicine, Anesthesiology, Traumatology and Orthopedics, General Surgery, Medical Surgical Emergencies and Internal Medicine.

The event that took place in the IMSS Auditorium was attended by the General Secretary of the National Union of Social Security Workers Section 29 Zacatecas, Manuel Hernández Villa; the Coordinator of Planning and Institutional Liaison of the IMSS in Zacatecas, Sol María Quirarte Báez; the representative of the professors of the medical specialties, José Guillermo Carrillo Medrano and the secretary of Technical Affairs of the National Union of Workers of the IMSS, Juan Antonio Quintero Arellano.
