The Jaguars pulled off a feat. This Saturday night the NFL witnessed the third biggest comeback in playoff history in Jacksonville’s 31-30 win over the Los Angeles Chargers in the Wild Card Round.
Quarterback Trevor Lawrence, who threw 4 interceptions in the first half, redeemed himself when his team needed him most with four touchdown passes in the final 31 minutes to lead the historic comeback.
“You can’t write a crazier script,” Lawrence told NBC. “We said in the locker room, this has been our season. We’re never out of the fight.”
The Jaguars overcame a 27-0 deficit to get back in the game and advance to the Divisional Round of the postseason. Only the comebacks by the Buffalo Bills once morest the Houston Oilers in 1992 (32 points behind) and the Indianapolis Colts once morest the Kansas City Chiefs in 2013 (28 points) surpassed the Jaguars’ feat.
“I’ve been speechless, honestly, just seeing what faith can do, seeing what a team where they believe in each other can do,” Lawrence continued. “Playoff game, down 27-0 and we won.”
