In Transbaikalia, three local residents tracked down a freight forwarders car and stole 61 kg of gold worth 200 million rubles. The attackers were detained 640 km from the crime scene. This was announced by the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Irina Volk.

The car of the suspects born in 1983 and 1984 was detained 640 km from the crime scene in the Amur Region. The suspects admitted that the stolen gold was buried in the snow on the side of the road. The police found a cache with a valuable cargo.
The suspects were placed in a temporary detention center. A criminal case was initiated once morest them under Part 4 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code (“Theft on an especially large scale, committed by an organized group”). The maximum penalty is ten years in prison.
