President arrested, Vicem Bim Son Packaging plans losses

The Board of Directors of Vicem Bim Son Packaging Joint Stock Company (BPC) has just approved the Resolution of the meeting of the first quarter of 2023, which sets out the targets for the first quarter and the whole year of 2023.

BPC’s leadership forecasts that in 2023, the cement market in general and packaging production in particular will face many difficulties. In 2023, the Company set a net revenue target of nearly VND 261 billion and pre-tax profit of more than VND 1.5 billion, a slight decrease compared to the previous year. Production output and sales reached 48 million shells, equal to the results in 2022.

Particularly in the first quarter, the company set a net revenue target of nearly 62 billion dong, but suffered a loss before tax of 180 million dong.

Regarding financial work, the Company proposes to develop a debt recovery plan for Viet Lime Minerals Company, and at the same time calculate to have a plan to gradually make provision for receivable debts for Viet Lime Minerals. . According to the financial statements of the fourth quarter of 2022, as of December 31, 2022, the Company recorded a receivable of nearly VND 17.5 billion for Viet Lime Minerals.

Accumulated in 2022, Vicem Bim Son recorded VND 4,218 billion in revenue and nearly VND 63 billion in profit following tax, down compared to 2021 (4,330 billion VND and 103 billion VND).

Regarding the personnel of the Company, on November 12, 2022, the Hai Duong Provincial Police Department has announced the prosecution of the accused and detained Mr. Nguyen Van Chang – Chairman of the Board of Directors Vicem Bim Son Packaging, regarding Crime of Violating regulations on bidding, causing serious consequences (occurred during the period when Mr. Nguyen Van Chang worked at VICEM Hoang Thach Cement Company).
