A new device to better fit into the professional environment

Apprenticeship contracts is the name of this new system. Trainees divide their time between their training center and the company hosting them. And their salaries are mostly paid for by the country. The first contracts are just beginning.

They have not yet taken their first steps in learning. The eight trainees are completing their upgrade, before starting their contract at the beginning of March. After 27 months alternating between the CFPA and their company, they will become works supervisors, like Faaoli. “What we learn in training, we can apply it directly in business and rectify what needs to be rectified or come back to training. Because there is always a gap between training and professional reality, we can discuss it and unblock things“, confide Faaoli.

Two weeks of theoretical training, then four weeks in companies… apprentices are paid 70% of the minimum wage, or 118,000 XPF gross. A salary largely supported by the country. Honoarii signed up to be a master apprentice. In a few weeks, he will train an apprentice foreman…”If he has everything he needs to work in the company, that will be a plus, but it will always take time to train him (…) Why not hire him followingwards?“, explains the Master Learning

A total of 15 courses are available in apprenticeship, commerce, construction or tourism.
