Tijuana, Baja California, February 22.- The Tijuana Tourism and Conventions Committee (Cotuco) announced the holding of the “1st Congress of Regenerative, Anti-Aging and Aesthetic Medicine”, which will take place from February 23 to March 25, at the Grand Hotel Tijuana. Arturo Gutiérrez Sánchez, president of Cotuco, highlighted the importance of supporting this type of event that contributes to congress and convention tourism in the city, which is one of Tijuana’s strong branches as a destination. In turn, Cleomenes Rafael Ruiz Castillo, coordinator of the event, stressed that this is the first congress of this specialty that is held in the city, in which they estimate an influx of 100 participants. “The objective of the event is to contribute to the growth and scientific diffusion of Medicine and to invite universities and different institutions, both public and private, to participate in this type of update,” he pointed out. The coordinator added that it also seeks to generate discussion forums on these topics that are of interest to health professionals and the population itself, especially in a destination like Tijuana, which is a leader in medical tourism. Ruiz Castillo explained that the activities will be carried out within the framework of the expertise of the speakers and scientific research in the different areas of General Medicine, Oncology, Traumatology and Orthopedics, Internal and Intensive Medicine, Gynecology, Cellular Biology, the medical- legal, among others. “The impact that we expect is that the doctors of Baja California and Mexico turn to the growth of our city, to the medical tourism that we are currently experiencing and that in the medium term we can further strengthen our locations,” he noted. For this, he said, there will be the presence of speakers from the cities of Sonora, Mexico City, Guadalajara, Monterrey and, of course, Baja California.
