In Hungary, a significant number of households – according to the latest survey, more than 60% – cook on gas stoves. Although more and more people are switching to ceramic or induction stoves, gas stoves are still very popular throughout Europe. Climate activists and Western governments, which have branded almost all carbon-emitting energy sources as dire threats, have now pinned the gas stove on their banner. Several organizations are demanding that the European Union remove the device from the shelves of electronics stores as soon as possible.
According to a study by CLASP and the European Public Health Association (EPHA), cooking with gas appliances exposes more than 100 million people in Europe to levels of indoor air pollution that would breach outdoor air pollution standards. highlights, that cooking with gas emits nitrogen dioxide, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide and unburned methane, which can linger in the room for hours following using the appliance. According to the organization’s survey, more than 700,000 children in the EU suffered from asthma symptoms last year as a result of cooking with gas. 12% of current childhood asthma cases might be avoided if gas stoves were removed from the EU overnight. In adults, cooking with gas can have negative effects on the brain, respiratory system and nervous system. Indoor air pollution from gas stoves is estimated to cost the EU €3.5 billion per year in health costs, lost income, lost productivity and health-adjusted life years (DALYs).
Is the gas stove really that dangerous or are we witnessing another political overreach?
Globalist institutions and climate change crooks have now blacklisted natural gas. Since the outbreak of the Russian-Ukrainian war, governments have been pushing to reduce the use of natural gas, and now it seems that there is another scapegoat to blame. Would that be banned now? First of all, it is worth mentioning that a large part of the world, including the United States and Europe, relies heavily on natural gas, not only for cooking, but also for heating residential buildings. Several countries, including neighboring Austria, have already announced that they will not allow the sale of gas boilers, and now the stove might easily be banned. But if we ban natural gas, civilization will face an immediate drop in economic activity and much higher prices for all other energy sources due to increased demand. Currently, there is no green energy solution that can fulfill the same role as natural gas.
If you can no longer cook with gas overnight, imagine what would happen! The first problem is that not everyone can afford to install an electric stove. The other problem is that if everyone suddenly started cooking with electricity, it is not certain that the current electricity network would be able to handle the many consumers, and the price of electricity would rise drastically due to the increased demand.
But, of course, many greens are not interested in such trifles, especially if financial or political interests are behind them. In the United States, the banning of gas stoves was also on the agenda, and the various organizations reached similar results there as in Europe. The gas stove is a healthy harmful point. On the other hand, the fact that the American study was done by a privately funded group that is very biased is just icing on the cake, since it is actively working on several carbon-free initiatives.
In other words, the study was written by biased people, and since everyone is an expert these days, a document funded by a private ideological group may not be trusted.
Naturally, the American Gas Association responded to the study, noting that its testing did not include real-world appliance use and:
“he ignored the [korábbi] literatureincluding a study that looked at data collected from more than 500,000 children in 47 countries and found no evidence of an association between the use of gas as a cooking fuel and asthma symptoms or a diagnosis of asthma”.
The push to ban gas stoves does not seem to be regarding health, but simply regarding control. This is an attempt to falsely link carbon dioxide emissions to negative health issues in order to scare the public into supporting carbon neutrality. But why resort to such a strategy? Is the climate cult really that desperate? Yes, it is.
The World Economic Forum cannot be left out either
A World Economic Forum also actively exploits gas stoves. The official website says: “Researchers have calculated that gas stoves pump 2.6 million tons of methane into the atmosphere every year, the equivalent of 500,000 cars. A new study finds that gas stoves emit methane even when they are not in use, contributing more to the climate crisis than previously thought.”
It’s no surprise to anyone that the WEF indulges in such extremes instead of dealing with the world’s real and truly polluting problems. Clearly, the climate change agenda is regarding giving governments and globalist institutions the power to limit energy use, tax carbon emissions, and thus control almost every aspect of our daily lives. Without natural gas, the entire industry will collapse. Green energy is not (yet) efficient and cannot fill the void left by gas, oil and coal.
Carbon dioxide totalitarianism?
There are very rich and powerful people who would benefit greatly from such a scenario. A book was published in 1972 The limits of growth with the title, in which more than 50 years ago they stated:
“Looking for a common enemy to unite once morest, we came up with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming, water scarcity, famine, and the like fit the bill. These phenomena, in their totality and in their interactions, really represent a common threat that everyone must face. But when we label these dangers as enemies, we fall into the trap we have already warned our readers once morest, namely, mistaking symptoms for causes. All these dangers are caused by human intervention in natural processes and can only be overcome by changing attitudes and behavior. So the real enemy is humanity itself.”
The quote is relatively straightforward; a common enemy must be found, so that everyone unites under one banner, deceiving humanity, and the elite sees environmental disaster as the best possible motivation. No one says that we needlessly pollute the earth, waste, and litter, but the constant search for scapegoats, a series of bans, and the imposition of the wrong direction are not the way to go. How does carbon dioxide totalitarianism begin? With gas boilers. Then come the gas stoves, then the wood-burning stoves. Then they artificially raise the price of gas. Then they introduce a carbon dioxide tax on producers, which in turn will cause a price increase for consumers. Then they impose a carbon tax on ordinary people. They will use every means at their disposal to make it impossible to use fossil fuels. And what we’re seeing right now is just the beginning.
