The Minister Delegate in charge of Public Accounts Gabriel Attal, in an interview with our colleagues from Le Parisien, revealed the results of the government’s anti-fraud plan.
The fight once morest tax evasion carried out in 2022 should bring 14.6 billion euros to public finances in France, announced Gabriel Attal in the columns of the Parisian. A “record” according to the Minister Delegate in charge of Public Accounts who specifies that of this sum, “almost 9 billion” euros in recovery come from companies.
“In 2022, our fight once morest fraud has produced historic results”, welcomed the minister.
“It’s 1.2 billion euros more than in 2021, which was already a record year”, he added, “it’s a lot, almost twice the budget of the Ministry of Justice” .
One in two tax audits guided by AI
Gabriel Attal assures that tax officials are “more efficient than ever” and are increasingly relying on new technologies to fight once morest fraud.
“For the first time, more than one out of two tax audits was guided by artificial intelligence, which makes it possible to identify anomalies thanks to the cross-referencing of data”, continued Gabriel Attal in the Parisian.
The minister at the same time assured that Bercy was attacking social fraud, CAF fraud or even customs fraud: “all fraud is reprehensible and scandalizes the French”.
