konzert #33: shout out louds @ arena | 24.06.2022

it was an indie evening straight out of a picture book: “shout out louds” were in the arena in vienna and wowed their audience!

on that friday evening it was clear that we had to make a pilgrimage to the arena: the “shout out louds” were in town and therefore a must for every indie lover in vienna. it was warm, it was crowded and the opening act was “praise“, who wanted to heat us up even more. but my head was already so focused on the main band of the evening that i mightn’t really notice anything else.

die „shout out louds‘ stormed the stage and started their set with solid numbers. lots of light, lots of guitar banging and lots of movement – the start mightn’t have been better. and it went on similarly, but always with a little more increase. on the fifth number, “fall hard”, the crowd was even allowed to sing, shout and celebrate the music on their own.

the songs became more anthemic, the interaction increased from song to song: singer adam olenius knew exactly how to maneuver his audience step by step into ecstasy. he shines around with his obligatory flashlight, he twirls the microphone through the air and always invites those present to be a part of the songs.

the encore block was of course particularly nice: during the song “the comeback” adam stood in the middle of the audience and performed with and for the crowd. that was incredible! but the absolute highlight was of course the very last song, the all-time hit “please please please”. you might literally feel how band and audience melted together out of sheer love of music.

a concert of “shout out loud” is always possible – you always get wonderful indie hits and beautiful band members straight from sweden. what more does the heart want? i’m already looking forward to the next concert evening with the “shout out louds”!
