The Justice issued a ban on leaving the country and a national and international arrest warrant for the lender who is on the run, accused of having murdered Ferni Ayalathe 28-year-old girl found yesterday dead from two shots at a home in the Zavaleta neighborhood of Barracaswhile the victim’s family believes that a comment regarding an ex-partner might be the motive for the femicide.
Judicial and police sources reported that at the request of the prosecutor in charge of the case, Pablo Recchini, of the National Criminal and Correctional Prosecutor’s Office 44, Judge Mariano Iturralde, of court 16 of the same jurisdiction, already issued a national and international arrest warrant for the suspect, identified as Esteban Rojas (44), a Paraguayan national, like the victim.
“We are looking for it, but he had many hours, almost a whole day, to escape from the dawn of the crime until the discovery of the body. We suspect that he may have gone to Paraguay and we also know that he has money,” said a source from the investigation.
The detectives of the Homicide Division of the City Police are committed to the capture of the fugitive and since yesterday they have been carrying out raids and various intelligence tasks to find and arrest the Rojas, who is accused of “aggravated homicide by the use of a firearm and mediating gender violence” (femicide).
Meanwhile, Clara, one of Ferni’s sisters that on Sunday followingnoon he reported his whereregardings and yesterday morning he found his sister murdered on the first floor of house 187 located on Lavardén street, block 18, of villa 21-24, located in said neighborhood of south of the City of Buenos Aires, told the press what the family’s hypothesis is regarding the motive.
The woman explained today to the TN channel that on Sunday morning Ferni, the now wanted Rojas and five other people from the same group of friends went to dance in a bowling alley in Constitución and there two other of their sisters “saw Ferni anguished, wanting to cry.”
According to Clara, from what she learned later, there was a friend in the group “who made a comment to Esteban, told him ‘take care of her, she’s a good girl, value her, she suffered a lot in her previous relationship.’”
«I don’t know if he named it my sister’s ex and it was what bothered Esteban that he told the boy: ‘You name it once more and I’ll break your head, or something like that.’ I think that was what unleashed all this, “said Clara.
The victim’s sister commented that Ferni and Rojas “lived together approximately seven months agos, but they would be together a year or a year and a half ago” and although he stated that they “never” saw a situation of violence between them, they did find out yesterday that The man had “three or four complaints” from a previous partner.
“They say that he had thrown the eight-month-pregnant ex-wife down the stairs. Then, that she had violently cut another blonde girl’s hair with a knife. Those comments were heard here yesterday », she mentioned.
The woman, who released the photo of the suspect, asked that anyone who sees Rojas “call 911.”
“This cannot stay like this, no woman can die like this,” and indicated that the partner of her murdered sister “is a lender” and is known throughout the neighborhood.
The story of how Clara Ferni was found dead
Clara also recounted how it was the moment in which her sister was found murdered yesterday morning, following the whereregardings complaint was made on Sunday at the 4D City Police station.
She explained that during the followingnoon, as she has key downstairs, I had gone to the building twice but when I knocked on the door of the apartment, no one answered.
“I mightn’t go to sleep. My brother told me ‘I broke the door’. A neighbor helps me and kicks the door down. I see her shoes under the table, I look into the room and I see his clothes that he had on that night and I go out. I didn’t want to see,” he recounted.
Then, he explained that his other sister was the one who went up and saw the body.
«I hear that she screams and with that I confirmed that she was dead. My sister told me that (Ferni) was wearing night clothes and had two shots in the chest. Later a police officer told me that he had a lot of bruises, so he also hit her,” he added.
