In Boston Strangler plays Keira Knightley the journalist Loretta McLaughlin. This was the first to journalistically deal with the case of the murderer Albert DeSalva, who terrorized the American city in the 1960s and murdered 13 people. Already In 1968, the true story served as a basis for the thriller The Killer of Boston, but there the police and the perpetrator were clearly in focus.
Boston Strangler will be released on March 17th in the USA exclusively on Hulu and will probably appear in Germany at the same time, but then of course on Disney+. Next to Knightley still belong Carrie Coon (Ghostbusters: Legacy), David Dastmalchian (The Suicide Squad), Alexander Nivola (The Many Saints of Newark) und Chris Cooper (The Bourne Identity) to cast the film’s writer and director Matt Ruskin (Crown Heights).
