A car had collided with the Mattigtalbahn at an unrestricted level crossing. The driver should have gotten away with the shock, the passenger was flown to the hospital by helicopter. She had to be freed from the wreckage by firefighters. The car was only grazed at the rear by the train, which probably saved the lives of the occupants.
