“Every artist is a strong woman and an ambassador for equality.” This is how the Austrian singer-songwriter Virginia Ernst summed up the importance of the #WEARE campaign to pressetext. As part of International Women’s Day on March 8th, the musician and organizer together with her colleagues invites you to the fifth concert “#WEARE – Strong Voices Strong Women” at 7:30 p.m. on the stage of the Globe Vienna.

In addition to Malarina and Kernölamazonen, the Schick Sisters, Lisa Pac, Erika Pluhar, the Poxrucker Sisters & Katharina Straßer, Lizz Görgl, Stella Jones and Arina will also be there in Vienna at the beginning of March, as well as special guests Michael Niavarani & the Simpl Ensemble. With their tour, the 14 artists want to draw attention to the continuing unequal treatment of women in professional life, especially in certain areas of training. But Ernst also sees a need for action in some sports disciplines that are still male-dominated. “As a former ice hockey player, I know exactly what it’s like not to be treated the same. When I started my music career, one of my biggest goals was to change that or to make a contribution,” the artist told press text .
