“Our problems in everyday life become very small”

The pictures of the destruction, the body bags, the desperation and the grief had a tangible effect on him: press photographer Daniel Scharinger spent two days in the earthquake area in Turkey to document the extent of the unimaginable catastrophe with pictures. “The problems that we have in everyday life become very small,” he says. Scharinger not only remembers the pictures on the photo memory card, he still sees them in his mind’s eye.
