“All bodies are precious”, a project that arrived at the Confluence Festival 2023

A project with another objective was announced yesterday, and that is that thousands of people received “free hugs” on the outskirts of the Confluence Festival. Today another project was known that happened during the day on Saturday, “all bodies are precious.”

Through the social network Instagram, the user Emi Franzan (@emifranzan) shared the project they carried out on the outskirts of the Isla 132 property, on Saturday, February 18. On Democracia street, meters before reaching Río Negro street, Verónica Goldenberg, a specialist in sexualities and gender, stood blindfolded and half-naked on the public road.

With her she carried a sign where one might read: «I am here representing anyone who, like me, has struggled with a self-esteem issue because all bodies are precious. To support self-acceptance, draw a heart on my body.”

Several people gradually approached, took their time to read the sign and then proceeded to leave a heart on Verónica’s body. Most of the people who left a mark were women, girls, young people and adults, but there was also participation of men.

There were those who left a heart, who chose to write them words like “beautiful”, and people who left her a hug accompanied by a message that only Verónica might hear.

The emotional video obtained more than a thousand reproductions and comments evaluating the project, the user Emi Franzan added to the video that he himself was “inspired by Amy Pence-Brown’s work to raise awareness of acceptance of our Bodies.”

Projects with the same objective have traveled millions of places in different parts of the world, but this time it came to Neuquén on the coast of the Limay River. to provide a message of awareness to all the people who attended.
